| THE CAR |
As highly regarded today
as in its heyday, the Jaguar MK2 saloon was a true icon of
its era. As with all jaguar products, the vehicle represented
exceptional value for money and in terms of performance, the
larger engine versions were leaders in their class.
This is a 1963 example of the Jaguar 3.8 MK2, fitted with
manual/overdrive transmission. The car is an original RHD
version, which had previously been resident in South Africa,
returning to this country recently.
Extensive refurbishment was carried out earlier last year
and the car is now in excellent condition, bodily and structurally.
Work has included a bare metal respray in Bordeaux red, whilst
mechanically, the car is excellent throughout and a pleasure
to drive.
The interior has been re-trimmed correctly, in beige leather
and the car is being sold with photographic evidence of the
restoration work, together with a current MOT and V5 document. |

| THE INTERIOR |
| The interior has been
completely retrimmed in biscuit leather and is in immaculate
condition. The headcloth has been replaced and has the contrasting
brown wool carpeting. The burr walnut cappings on the doors
are in excellent condition with no signs of fading or cracking. |

 |
| THE DASHBOARD |
| The burr walnut dashboard
is in very good order and all Smiths instrumentation functioning
correctly. The mileometer is showing 23896 miles and is believed
to be correct. A 4-speaker stereo system has been fitted at
some time and gives superb sound reproduction. |

 |
| THE ENGINE |
| The 3781CC 6-cylinder
twin ohc engine produces 220bhp at 5500rpm with 0-50 in 6.4
seconds creating a top speed of 125mph.this engine runs superbly
and sounds really sweet. All mechanical and electrical components
are working properly. The 4-speed manual gearbox is nice and
tight and the overdrive is working faultlessly. |
