The first Packards
were built in Warren, Ohio in 1899 because brothers JW and
WD Packard thought they could produce a better car than
the one they had just bought. For many years later, particularly
in the 1920's and 1930's, well-to-do Americans lusted after
a Packard alost as much as a Cadillac.
We have the only known restored 1939 two-door Touring Sedan
(source: Packard Club of America). It won the "Best
Pre-War Packard" award at Packard's international 1999
National Tour Car show. The car has been restored to its
factory condition, including 1939 Dupont paint and tan pinstripe
broadcloth upholstery.
This is without doubt one of the finest examples to be
had anywhere. Comes with the most complete history we have
ever had, V5 and 1 years MOT.
