Although the 40/50
HP Silver Ghost was a fine and successful machine, it was
long overdue for replacement by the mid 1920's. Titled the
'New Phantom' at first (changed to Phantom I after it was
discontinued) the new model even shared the same chassis
as the older car, though it had a brand new overhead valve
six-cylinder engine, a smooth and utterly discreet 7.7 litre
unit. The Phantom II, introduced in 1929, had more space,
more refinement, more power and, naturally, more prestige.
We have in stock a Hooper bodied Phantom II which has had
in excess of $150,000 spent on restoration and is in magnificent
condition throughout.
